Meet Our Team
Mr Will Dean is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon based in the Cotswolds. He has over 25 years’ experience in eye care. He has performed over 15,000 eye surgeries and is a global expert in cataract surgery.
Mr Dean specialises in advanced and complex cataract surgery, glaucoma, and general ophthalmology. He is currently Assistant Clinical Professor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine; and Associate Professor at the University of Cape Town. He previously served as Clinical Director of Ophthalmology at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust from 2022 to 2025. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and was awarded a PhD from the University of London for his ground-breaking work on surgical training. He has published over 40 papers in international scientific journals and a well-known textbook on eye surgery.
